I knitted two scarves over the weekend! I already gave one away as a present, and forgot to take a picture of it. It was a multi-colored blue/green yarn. I did get the plain white one photographed before wrapping it, though. Both are made from eyelash yarn, which is a PAIN in the A$$ to work with. I got knotted up at one point, so I abandoned all hope of just knitting from the skein, and ended up winding it around a candlestick. I only used two skeins per scarf, so it wasn’t THAT bad, but it did take me two hours to get one of them unknotted and properly wound.
Anyway, my mother-in-law will be the lucky recipient of the white one. It’s not really her style (she is VERY traditional), but I figure since it is plain white, and it’s only meant to be worn outdoors, that she’ll be able to make an exception :)Â
I’ve moved on to the next project, which uses circular needles. I definitely like not having to switch hands, but I’ve had to start over twice. Once because I got it twisted and once because the join of the two ends was screwed up. It’s going good now, though, so keep coming back to check on my progress!
